On Wednesday 7 October, Hic et Nunc was the protagonist of the press conference launching Anno del Cortese, a 2020-2021 campaign organized by the Piedmont Region, VisitPiemonte, Protection Consortia, regional Enotecas and Botteghe del vino to promote knowledge and the enhancement of Cortese wine, in Italy and abroad.

Representing Monferrato Casalese, Hic et Nunc has been selected as a testimonial of excellence, with an outstanding bottle, “dressed” with the label created by artist Alice Ronchi.
A recognition that fills us with pride and rewards the commitment that we have made, since our foundation, towards the revival of the Cortese grape, now vinified in two outstanding labels: Tèmi, Piemonte Cortese Doc, refined in stainless steel, fresh to drink with very delicate fruity scents; and Monolite, Piemonte Cortese Doc which, partly, ages in French oak barrels for about 4 months to acquire a more complex and structured character, wherein the delicate sweetness on the palate is balanced by a fresh acidity, presenting a savory and persistent finish.

ANNO DEL CORTESE
Anno del Cortese will start during the 2020 harvest and end in 2021. A season full of activities, events, meetings and encounters with sector media and operators to promote one of the most representative white grape varieties of Piedmont. Among the many activities on calendar are a dedicated social campaign, the launch of a website and the creation of a video about the vine.
There are over 3 thousand hectares cultivated with Cortese, from which more than 13 million bottles are produced every year divided into 5 different denominations, each representative of a territory: one Docg (Gavi) and four Docs (Monferrato Casalese, Cortese dell’Alto Monferrato, Colli Tortonesi and Piemonte Cortese).
