The 2025 vintage has stood out as particularly complex and at the same time surprisingly positive. The season began with abundant rainfall, raising concerns about the high risk of downy mildew attacks, a concrete threat in many winegrowing areas. Working under organic farming practices, and therefore with limited and natural means of protection, phytosanitary management required great effort and timeliness: thanks to targeted interventions and careful weather–phenological monitoring, we succeeded in containing the issue in the best possible way, preserving the health of the grapes.
After this initial phase marked by humidity, the climatic trend shifted toward the opposite conditions, with a prolonged period of heat and water scarcity. This water stress was mitigated by the balanced vigor of the vines, the result of thoughtful pruning that allowed for the right number of clusters per plant. This agronomic approach made thinning unnecessary, ensuring a yield perfectly in line with our quality standards while respecting the natural balance of the vine.
Towards the end of the season, the climate offered optimal conditions, with more regular temperatures and excellent diurnal temperature variation. These factors favored the phenolic and aromatic ripening of the grapes, leading to analytical parameters of the highest relevance: well-balanced acidity, ideal pH, perfect APA, and an overall alcohol content that was balanced, not excessive, and consistent with the estate’s historical average.
The conformation of the clusters—smaller in size with thick, healthy skins—provides further assurance of quality. This scenario is reflected across all cultivated varieties, both for still wine vinifications and for sparkling wine bases, offering excellent prospects for aromatic expression, longevity, and elegance.
In conclusion, the 2025 harvest in our area can be considered one of the best in recent years: a synthesis of climatic challenges overcome with skill and attentive organic viticulture, which has managed to enhance every stage of the vegetative cycle. The outlook suggests wines of great personality, an authentic expression of the territory, and true to our quality standards.
