Monferrato DOC Dolcetto

Our Mondano comes from a single vine located in our plots in Mongetto, in the Bricco vineyard, the highest on the estate. Tuffaceous marl, excellent ventilation and full southern exposure concentrate colour, flavour and fragrance in an intense and extremely profound wine.

A Dolcetto that focuses on “blue” sensations (plum, currants, myrtle, blackberry) and presents a thrilling fullness of nose and palate. Classic in bearing and austere in character, it releases elegant spicy notes and mineral hints: the result of its white terroir. Mondano is a “state of the art” Dolcetto del Monferrato, elegantly accompanying everyday meals and providing an excellent companion to traditional Piedmont cuisine.

    Grapes carefully selected and hand-picked from a single vine in the Bricco vineyard, the highest on the estate (approximately 400 m asl). Southern exposure and soil composed of white tuffaceous marl exalt the intense fragrances of the Dolcetto, lending it a tangy note.
    Fermented for 12 days over skins at controlled temperatures in steel.
    8 months in steel tanks at controlled temperature.
    Ruby red colour with shades of carmine. Elegant notes of spices, red fruit and vanilla. Full taste with sweet tannins and a soft finish.
