Altromondo
Grignolino of Monferrato Casalese DOC
Welcome to the land of Grignolino. Altromondo is the gateway to the most typical grape of these hills, a native variety that has been grown here at least since the 12th century. It is pale orange in colour, but with a full and vibrant structure.
A red grape that grows on white marl and offers a wonderful balance of tannin and fragrance, body and the most delicate of floral nuances. Fermentation and ageing in steel creates an iconic Grignolino, a symbol of the wine-making methods of our winery: purity of grape variety, valorisation of the local area and respect for native grapes through traditional wine-making methods.

Grapes carefully selected and hand-picked from the vineyard which, at an altitude of almost 300 metres, is the highest on the estate. The soils are composed of white, hard, microelement-rich marl, which translates into intensely perfumed wines played on elegance and finesse.
Fermented for 12 days over skins at controlled temperatures in steel.
8 months in steel tanks at controlled temperature. The “naked” ageing in steel exalts the original characteristics of the Grignolino grape, guaranteeing total respect for the primary and secondary aromas of the wine.
At first cherry red, showing darker shades after a few years of aging. Fresh and fruity aromas, with notes of spices and fresh fruit. Soft, with lovely freshness and delicate, juicy, enveloping tannins.
