A JOURNEY INTO THE BIODIVERSITY OF MONFERRATO
Since ancient times, honey has been known not only as a food but also as a natural health ally. Most people associate honey with remedies for winter ailments, but our grandmothers—and not only them—used it for skincare and wound healing. And, as is often the case, they were right. Today, thanks to scientific research, we can fully understand its incredible properties.
With this in mind, Nectars in the Glass offers an immersive experience of authentic flavors and nature, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and the enhancement of the local territory.
The event will begin at 5:00 PM with a guided tour of the Hic et Nunc winery, where tradition and innovation come together to create authentic wines. Following this, guests will embark on a sensory journey from vineyard to bottle through biodiversity: a tasting of four wines from the winery, paired with local cheeses enhanced by four varieties of honey produced by the beehives on Hic et Nunc’s estate.
During the tasting, “Davide & le sue api” will be present, along with Prof. Elia Ranzato and Prof. Simona Martinotti, biologists from the University of Eastern Piedmont, who have been studying the properties of honey and beehive products for years. With their expertise and passion, they will guide us through the fascinating world of bees and the extraordinary qualities of honey and its derivatives.
In case of bad weather, the experience will still take place.
